Welcome to Midnightdream Shih Tzu.  The Midnightdream affix has been registered with the Kennel Union of Southern Africa since 1996, and is owned by myself - Riekie Erwee.

Since starting out in this lovely and enchanting breed, I have owned and/or bred 6 Best In Show winners [all at Championship level].  These lovely and much loved Shih Tzu have made my Midnightdream name become the only Shih Tzu kennel to have achieved the honour of becoming the top winning Shih Tzu kennel in South Africa - of all time; something that I am exceptionally proud of.

The one Shih Tzu that I am tremendously proud of is my home bred - Ch [USA/CAN/SA] Midnightdream Simply The Best, who became the all time top winning Shih Tzu.  "Leo" lived up to his name and was 'simply the best' to show; an ultimate showman who gave me his all in the ring.  "Leo" is now retired and living life to the fullest.

To the breeders that have over the years sent me some of their outstanding Shih Tzu, I say thank you - they became the foundation for Midnightdream and without them I would not have achieved what I have, both in my breeding programme and in the showring.
